Rotary is helping to eliminate Polio

We are still fighting polio in Afghanistan and Pakistan. To date there are 34 cases (as of September 1, 2024).

Zone world Polio day events Oct 2 and Oct 24.

The surveillance teams are equipped and able to track and find cases much more readily than in the past. As a result, more cases have been discovered. The good news is that once cases are discovered, precautions can be made effectively.
