The need: There was a dire need and scarcity of potable drinking water for the rural community dwellers and water toilet facilities for the school children in the community at Nnokwa,Idemili L.G.A in Anambra State, South East Nigeria, which gave rise to various water borne illnesses.
The solution: Drill a Water Borehole to nine hundred (900) feet depth in order to get clean water, and setup catchment reservoirs (holding 10,000 litres) including taps for rural community and water toilet facilities for schools.
The cost: $46,000 USD - sponsored by Rotary club of Winnipeg ,Transcona, & District 5550 and Rotary International.
The result: With this project in place, dwellers' living standards and health conditions will improve drastically.
